Kiteboarding has now been around for over 20 years. As old as the sport is, kiteboarding remained well under the radar of most sports adventure enthusiasts until the early 21st century. New safety features and improved performance design has accelerated this amazing sport into the spotlight of extreme sports. Since 2003 the sport has taken off in earnest. Now Kiteboarding totes schools and destinations the world over. Kiteboarding is available in so many locations nowadays that it is hard not to spot somebody ripping over the water on a windy day, no matter what body of water you are on. Kiteboarding is for lack of better description; a sport where you are pulled across the water much like wake-boarding or skiing behind a boat.
