Hiking - Don't Lose Your Way

Hiking can be a great experience, just make sure wander away, things can be from bad to worse pretty quick. Even just the slightest misstep from the trail can cause a major problem. As with any sport, being prepared and mindful can be your best protection.

The simplest way to never wander off is naturally to remain about the established trail. Most national parks as well as other hiking areas have marked trails running throughout them. They can have signs (though possibly very subtle) and can show you just how far you will end up hiking. Staying on these will assure you do not wander off. However, if that suits you the task of exploring new areas or have been hiking the same trails for many years and they are searching for something more important, you might be more mindful of your surrounding.
